Seventh-grader Mackenzie Lang, a member of the Lincoln Middle School FFA Chapter in Palmetto, Fla., says she joined FFA to get “hands-on with animals,” but she has gained more from her membership than she could have imagined. Through FFA, the self-described “city girl” has been introduced to many different aspects of agriculture, including urban gardening and hydroponics.
